The 709 group structure is used for neutron-induced reactions and TENDL neutron-induced reaction data is provided in this group structure. In order to use the data, the GETXS 1 709 keyword must be used and the appropriate library selected in the files file. The PROJECTILE keyword may be omitted as neutron irradiation is the default simulation.
Note that the 709 group structure is comprised of 50 equal lethargy bins per decade (based on the TART-660 group) with a finer group structure in the MeV region to cover threshold reactions. The 30+ MeV region is a bespoke energy group structure used to follow the TENDL high energy reaction energy grid.
