Re: Neutron Flux Sample Data

Hello Michał, The example you sent had a couple of issues: 1. The number of energy groups is equal to the number of energies minus 1. 2. Please use full stops instead of commas in numbers - ie 1.00E+00 rather than 1,00E+00 3. You must have a 'wall loading value' after the flux values, typically use ...

Re: Neutron Flux Sample Data

Just to confirm, your arb_flux input is not valid. You must have n+1 energies (in eV) followed by n flux values. Then you run with GRPCONVERT n 709. Please try to fix the arb_flux and try again. If it does not work, provide a full set of inputs so that I can determine where the error is. Best regard...

Re: Neutron Flux Sample Data

Hi Michał, This isn't a minimum working example, as is, but I think there are at least two issues: 1. You list 130 energies in the first set, which corresponds with a 129 group structure. This is followed by 131 values for your spectrum. Your convert.i should have two numbers, the first should be 12...

Re: Neutron Flux Sample Data

Hello Michał, Thanks for contacting us through the forum. The FISPACT-II wiki has a page on spectra conversion: https://fispact.ukaea.uk/wiki/Spectra_conversion The general process is to provide one file with a list of the energies that bound your group structure (descending order), followed by the ...

Re: Gamma spectrum and decay heat

Dear Reuven, Thank you for posting on the forum. FISPACT-II is primarily an inventory code, so if you have the spent fuel inventory you can input this using the FUEL keyword https://fispact.ukaea.uk/wiki/Keyword:FUEL Various options can be set, and cooling times specified, to generate outputs. This ...

Re: Cross-section data for fission not found

Hello Jan, The warning message that you have is due to the existence of a fission yield file for Rn214 (half-life around 2.7E-07 seconds) from GEFY, where there is no fission cross section data. Indeed, since Rn214 is so short-lived there is no nuclear data file (even in TENDL)! Since there is no fi...

Re: UNCERTAINTY Calculation

Dear Marco, FISPACT-II adds data to the pathways analysis when one of the solver-initation keywords ( ATOMS , SPECTRUM or STEP ) are used. In this simulation the various irradiation steps do not have any of these keywords and the first case has 0 flux: << ----- STEP#1 - DD 2.68 MW * 2y ----- >> FLUX...

Re: TENDL2015 Compression & Collapse

Dear Unai, Thanks for putting this on the forum and pointing out an error message that should be improved. You are right, the issue is not use of COVARIANCE , but rather that you must use the NOERROR keyword ( http://fispact.ukaea.uk/wiki/Keyword:NOERROR ). Please add NOERROR to your input and let m...
