Dear all,
I have the composition of spent fuel (16x16 FA), and I would like to calculate the gamma spectrum and decay heat for different cooling times.
I will be happy for some guidance on how to do so.
Thank you very much!
Reuven

Dear Reuven,
Thank you for posting on the forum.
FISPACT-II is primarily an inventory code, so if you have the spent fuel inventory you can input this using the FUEL keyword https://fispact.ukaea.uk/wiki/Keyword:FUEL
Various options can be set, and cooling times specified, to generate outputs. This is typically done with TIME and ATOMS. See the keyword registry for more details https://fispact.ukaea.uk/wiki/FISPACT-II_keywords
The gamma spectrum, gamma heat and various other outputs are standard with the ATOMS keyword. The discretization of the gamma spectrum can be controlled using https://fispact.ukaea.uk/wiki/Keyword:READGG (from version 3-20).
If you have more basic questions, there will be a FISPACT-II training course at the OECD-NEA in Paris June 13-15 https://www.oecd-nea.org/dbprog/trainingcourses.htm
Best regards,
Michael
